They taught me to grow tall, tough and strong
They taught me, never to cry
A man after all I was never to meek
What they forgot, am human at first!

Emotions come and will overpower all but none
The poor, the rich and the mighty
They all cry to life’s happenings
But I am a man, what can I do?

A weak meaning it has when I describe you
A meaningless meaning it has when I describe you

For your beauty I searched
Every language ever lived
And every word ever existed
And the romantic era that occurred
Could not find a way to describe your beauty
Could not find a way to tell the world about your beauty

Vocabulary will be invented
Words never existed
To the dictionaries will be added
In the dictionaries will live
In the lovers tongues will breath
To describe your beauty
The one and the only beauty
The living and the dead will forget about Cleopatra
Because your beauty is ultra
A new period will start, The Beauty Era

instead you explained

What I should be thinking
to lessen your pain

You told me if only
I’d say it this way

My words could have meaning
and influence—sway

But power and fortune
are not what I sought

If influence only
gets brokered and bought

So the blessing passed over
your lecture now done

Sleep Sleep #Poetry

Sleep, sleep,
Peaceful sleep.
Flicker, flicker,
My eyelids flicker,
My body getting tired and weaker

Twitch and writhe,
My pain is strong.
How much longer,
Can it go on?
Weep, weep,
tears just flow,
Try to run away,
Yet nowhere to go.

Hurt inside,
A broken heart,
Sadness,
Emptiness,
Torn apart.

Nothing left,
Except for fear,
knowing that death,
Is all so near!
Slowly sliding,
Slipping away,
stop the pain!
Stop today!
Peace at last,
Hurt no more,
Time to walk,
through the door.
Suffering ends,
Pain has gone,
Battle over,
I can’t go on.

Sleep, sleep,
Peaceful sleep,
Watchful eye,
Has gone to sleep.

The woe’s of a poor man are counted only by him.
His deep empty pockets are a constant reminder of his plight.
He has never had a well to draw from
Who will help him in his time of need?
Remember when you also were in tatters, you held out your hand and received your portion.
Consider the needs of others, above your own then you will discover your own generosity.
