Troubled Heart #Poetry

What do you want from me?
Understand this, I can’t.
My heart cannot understand this,
it constantly tricks me.

I want you. I can’t lie about this.
But you’re wrong.
My heart wants you more
than yours wants mine.

Your heart is like the wind,
constantly changing its direction.
My heart like a path;
solid with only one direction.

If it is my heart you wish to gain,
then you’ve already won it,
but my will to hold it back
you cannot maintain.
