What Was Real? #Poetry

2017-17-10-08-33-13.jpeg

The worst is not knowing what was real
which “i love you”
which deep, longing gaze into my eyes
which last kiss with hopes of another
which caress that wasn’t meant for another
i wish i could hold on to the good
but what was a lie?
what was a dream?
what was us?
What Was Real?

What a powerful poem. I suppose for awhile things are real … the times when we’ve been loved. It felt real. The warmhold. It will again. Now following you with great pleasure, and thanks for following me at Routine Matters. Chris.

Almost an enquiry into the vagueness of love and its transient nature.
